Hi all,
sorry for my lack of posts these last few weeks. I've been getting ready for a holiday boutique and have been crafting like crazy. I'll have a tutorial post up in the next few days on how to make "cupcakes" out of fuzzy socks. I saw it online a few years ago and make them every year to sell and for little gifts.
In the meantime, here are a few of the cards I've made.
I've made about 75 cards so far for the boutique.
I got out my old Sizzix dies just to do something different. I had forgotten how nice some of the Sizzix dies are. I especially like the card with the bare tree and the black cat. I'm rather partial to black cats since I've been blessed to have 2 amazing black cats in my life.
Well, back to work on my cards.
Happy Crafting!

Birthday Layout
Hi all,
this week I made a one page 12x12 layout in a birthday theme for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog Monday challenge. This week's challenge was to make a birthday theme project using your Cricut. The project must include a candle. My youngest daughter, Brooke, has a birthday coming up, so I decided to make a scrapbook page. That way I can at least get a few pictures from her birthday in the scrapbook right away.
I used the Celebrations Cricut cartridge for both the title and the candles. The patterned paper is an old line from Creative Imaginations that I've had in my stash forever. I love finding ways to use up some of my older patterned paper. It means I get to buy some new stuff, right?
Here is the layout:
The page design was inspired by a layout I saw on About dot com - Scrapbooking
I love the bright colors and black together. I think it's going to look great with pictures of Brooke blowing out her candles.
Thanks for stopping by and looking at my project.
Hope you have an amazing week!

Surf's Up Layout
Happy Sunday!
Today I finally got to work on a project for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog. This week's challenge is to create a project, using your Cricut, that is inspired by summer. This is the first time I've participated in a challenge blog. It's so fun to look at everyone's projects for inspiration. I'm also linking up to the Link Up Tuesday challenge on PinkCricut.com.
Nothing says summer like the beach and surfing. I'm so blessed to live near the beach.
This is a 1 page, 12x12 layout using the Life is a Beach Cricut cartridge. It's one of my most used cartridges. The title and surfboards are from p. 74. The shark is from p. 55. It was my son's idea to cut one of the surfboards to make it look like the shark bit it. Isn't he creative?
I believe the paper is from DCWV - a summer stack from a few year's back. The cardstock is from my stash. I pop-dotted all of the embellishments for dimension and so the photo could slide underneath the taller surfboard.
Thanks so much for stopping by and looking at my project.

Cricut Quarter Note Layout
Hi there -
here's a video of a layout I made for some concert pictures. I used Cricut Quarter Note, George and Basic Shapes, and Cuttin Up. The patterned paper is from DCWV, the Music Stack. This stack is pretty old and isn't available anymore, but it's one of my favorites. The green glitter cardstock and black cardstock are from Recollections, available at Michaels. The Recollections cardstock cuts really cleanly in the Cricut. I typically use the 8.5 x 11 inch paper for the Cricut since it's much less expensive than 12x12.
I almost always pop dot my embellishments to give my layouts some dimension. I like the Scrapbook Adhesives pop dots because the backing is really easy to remove. They're also a nice thickness and come in either white or black.
On a side note - the concert was amazing. Gavin DeGraw played at the Santa Barbara bowl a couple weeks ago. It's the third time I've seen him in concert and he never disappoints.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi all,
I love watching videos of other people's scrapbook rooms, so I thought I'd share a video of my room. Hope you enjoy.
